| Healthy Heroes is a Rotary Club of Wellington North initiative that began in 2004 with the objective of improving the health and well-being of young children, and safeguard them against the threats of overweight, obesity and type 2 diabetes.
It is our aim to:
* Have thirty minutes of physical activity each day * Eat at least 3 vegetables and 2 pieces of fruit each day * Get 8-10 hours sleep each night * Stretch children's minds for at least 20 minutes * Help other people
The proven, uniquely holistic Healthy Heroes Programme goes into the child’s home. Parents welcome it. Kids enjoy developing themselves and self-responsibility. The benefits from the Healthy Heroes programme are immediate, and long term.
Healthy Heroes is a Rotary Club of Wellington North initiative beginning in 2004.
The Healthy Heroes 5 Challenges will encourage children to include eating well, being active and getting the required amount of rest in their daily activities.
